Compared to other European countries, the level of English here is quite low, so Spaniards need to improve their English in order to get university entry and to find a good job. The most important part of getting TESOL certified is finding a job when it’s all over. We help you throughout the 4 weeks and beyond to develop a foundation to be successful in the TEFL job market. Our career services include:
Help with essential documents: including your residency permits and social security numbers. In order to work in Spain an NIE (Numero de Identidad Extranjero) which is your identification number in Spain which can be obtained at the local immigration office. Both EU citizens and non-EU citizens can apply for an NIE. Non-EU citizens need a work permit for full-time jobs or a student visa which allows you to work up to 20 hours a week and fulltime in holiday periods. You will have to apply in person at the Spanish consulate in your country of residence for a work permit or a student visa before coming to Spain. Be prepared, Spain is a paperwork heavy country. That being said, we will help you where we can to make this process much smoother for you.

CV writing & interview preparation: during the course we provide input sessions specifically designed to help you in these areas. The input sessions provide you with information and tips about finding employment in your preferred area.
Teaching practice: throughout the course you will be required to participate in observed teaching practice, which will give you invaluable experience when contacting potential employers.
Access to real teachers: not only will you be in contact with your trainers, but also at TEFL in Spain you will have access to real teachers in a real language school setting. This will give you the unique advantage of being able to get practical advice and insight into the field you will enter.
Accredited Certificate: upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded with a certificate from Trinity College that will give you the upper hand when searching for a position in Spain and worldwide.
Letter of recommendation and referees: at the end of the course you will be presented with an official letter of recommendation. And, of course, we will act as referees for you!
Exclusive job offers: TEFL in Spain is contacted on a regular basis for job offers targeted at our graduates. We collaborate with these local language schools and help you find a job by putting you in contact with them. These offers are shared by e-mail. You will also be considered for internal job opportunities at the language academy Malaga Lenguas when available.
Other job vacancies: we will give you various resources including access to our database of schools in Malaga to make your job search more efficient. Following us on Facebook and Twitter will also provide you with an excellent source of job vacancies.
Skills development: continuing education is important in teaching which is why we offer teacher development courses throughout the year including Young Learners and Business English classes. We also offer Spanish classes for those who are interested in brushing up on their language skills.
